A luxury crafting
experience in the heart of beautiful Devon, our workshops give you new creative
skills and fire the imagination. Let our
friendly, experienced craft tutors guide you through the inspiring projects
with all materials and use of equipment included, and homemade treats and
refreshments.
A
half day workshop to introduce you to the art of hand spinning with a
wheel. We start, over coffee, with a
talk about the basics of spinning and spinning wheels and types of fibre before
having your first go at creating yarn.
You will have the opportunity to try 2 types of spinning wheel and then
learn to ply the yarn you have spun.
It’s not all hard work though as we will take a break to enjoy some luscious homemade cake or a Devonshire Cream Tea and there will be plenty of time for practice and questions. If you enjoy your spinning experience we will give you advice about taking the craft further.
The Introduction to Spinning Workshop will last approximately 3 hours and may be booked as a morning or afternoon session. Price includes all materials and use of equipment during the day.
Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to cancel or amend your workshop booking and, should this become necessary, we will do so with as much notice as possible. Booking is essential for all groups and individuals, with full payment required at the time of booking. Changes or cancellations require 24 hours notice otherwise payment will be forfeited. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
